Samuel Crowell's Gas Chamber of Sherlock Holmes: "If there were no gas chambers, then why did all those people say there were?" is a common response to the raised fact that there is to this date not one piece of forensic evidence or documentation proving the existence of these legendary "industrial" killing facilities. Crowell traces the history of public perceptions of and fears about the various elements that combined over 75 years or more to produce the climate and conclusions in post-WWII legal proceedings in Germany. For the first time, an alternative thesis is put forth to explain what the convergence of evidence might really prove. The work is extensively referenced, calling on primary sources that have lain in archives for more than sixty years, studiously ignored by mainstream researchers and historians. An eye-opener of merit. Joseph Sobran's Commentary: Joe Sobran is one of those courageous writers with intelligence and talent to match his considerable contempt for those who would deconstruct this Republic one small part at a time and expect good men who see it to stand by silently. Not only expect, but insist, with sometimes vicious and career-derailing methods of "persuasion." He stands his ground and calls it like he sees it in pithily elegant prose. It was writers such as he who made this country possible. Let us pray that the continued presence of those who deliver broadsides at sacred cattle will coincide by insuring the continuance of America as we know it -- or thought we knew it. Features a half-dozen columns stored on this site, with links to many archived columns and Sobran's own Web page. The Work of Freidrich Paul Berg, explores the myriad improbabilities and impossibilities of the gas chamber allegations. Further explanation....[Skip this bull and take me back to the InfoSet.INDEX now.]InfoSets are an attempt to resolve some of
the difficulties encountered in browsing the contents of a 50 Megabyte
Website, such as CODOH's. Even if you take that huge store of information
and prepare the most complete alphabetical indices possible, a reader
is still faced with the equivalent of being handed the keys to a large
research archive. Which is to say that much work is required to pull
together the information necessary to get an overview of any complex
subject, and this one is nothing if not complex. David Thomas, 3/25/98 |
